It's probably because I'm not done shopping yet, but I’ve got gifts (especially toys) on the brain. Here are some gift related items I’m lumping together this morning:
- Watching bad morning television so you don’t have to, here are the two things recommended by Kelly Ripa for children this holiday season: The Wizard of Oz pop up book, and the Charlie Caterpillar Rocker from FAO Schwartz. Both look cool, especially the book.
- Here’s an article in the Washington Times about how parents are buying their children toys from their past. Capitalizing on parent’s nostalgia, classic toys like Cabbage Patch Kids, My Little Pony, and old school video games are making a big comeback. I know I’m already guilty of this (especially when it comes to kid’s videos). When are they going to bring back Shogun Warriors?
- Digital Dad has broken down his favorite gifts this year for the whole family.
- Some great friends of ours back in Boston got Madame this really cool wooden snake made by Ryan’s Room. It’s the kind of toy she likes grabbing and looking at now, and she’ll enjoy taking apart and putting back together when she gets a little older.
